1. Introduction

TryZen is an AI-powered virtual styling application available on Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the TryZen app or visit tryzenai.com.

By creating an account or using TryZen, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide our services:

3. How We Use Your Information

We process your data to deliver and improve our core styling services:

  • Generate AI virtual try-on outfit images using Google Gemini AI and Replicate API.
  • Scan and categorize your wardrobe items using AI vision.
  • Detect your skin undertone from selfies for personalized beauty recommendations.
  • Provide weather-based outfit suggestions using your device location or city name.
  • Auto-generate your weekly outfit calendar based on your wardrobe.
  • Analyse outfit photos captured through the Camera tab.
  • Process product images from shopping platform links for virtual try-on (Shop-to-Try feature).
  • Generate AI packing lists for your travel destinations.
  • Send important service updates or security notifications.

Note: We never use your photos or personal data for advertising, marketing profiling, or AI model training without your explicit written consent.

4. Device Permissions (Camera, Photo & Location)

To provide personal styling suggestions and high-quality visual outputs, TryZen requests access to certain device hardware and features:

  • Camera Permission: Used to capture outfit photos and selfies for skin undertone analysis.
  • Photo Library Access: Used to upload clothes from your gallery for virtual wardrobe building and AI try-on.
  • Location Permission: Used to check real-time weather conditions in your area so we can suggest appropriate outfits. We do not track your location in the background or store a history of your coordinates.
  • Photos and files are uploaded to our secure cloud storage only when you actively select and submit them.
  • We do not access your device features or collect location data in the background at any time.
  • You can customize, deny, or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's operating system settings.

5. Third-Party Services We Use

We work with trusted third-party providers to deliver standard app functions. We only share the minimum data required for each service to function:

6. Data Storage & Security

We prioritize the protection of your personal information:

  • Your account data is stored on secure cloud servers with industry-standard encryption.
  • Photos and AI-generated images are stored on Cloudinary with secure access controls.
  • Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are encrypted using bcrypt hashing.
  • All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.
  • Authentication uses JWT (JSON Web Tokens) with expiry for session security.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as you keep your account active:

  • Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
  • When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 7 days.
  • Residual copies in backups are purged within 30 days of account deletion.
  • You can request deletion of specific data (photos, wardrobe items) without deleting your entire account.

8. Your Rights

You have full ownership and rights over your data, including:

  • Access — View your profile and all data stored about you within the app.
  • Edit — Update your profile, style preferences, measurements, and photos at any time.
  • Delete — Permanently delete your account and all associated data from your app Profile page or by contacting us.
  • Withdraw consent — Revoke camera or gallery permissions from your device settings.
  • Data portability — Request a copy of your data by emailing us.
  • Opt-out — Unsubscribe from any non-essential communications at any time.

To delete your account: Open TryZen app → Profile → Scroll down → Delete Account. Or visit tryzenai.com/delete-account.

9. Children's Privacy

TryZen is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us immediately at tryzenai9@gmail.com and we will delete the account and all data promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of TryZen after changes means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
